on site built pump stations quick guide
On-Site Built Pump Stations are systems built within pre-formed chambers (usually concrete) turning the chamber into a fully functioning pump station.
Why would I do it this way? Several reasons, such as:
More cost effective - pre-cast concrete (PCC) ring chambers are typically more cost effective than a pump station prefabricated in a GRP or Plastic enclosure.
Generally more available - unless it is a bespoke size chamber that is being constructed as a square or other shape common PCC manhole sizes are very common.
