Winery/Vineyard Venue Redevelopment

Balfour Winery, located on the picturesque 400-acre Hush Heath Estate in Kent, aimed to double its production to one million bottles a year. With their popular Balfour Brut Rosé at the forefront, they needed new infrastructure to manage the increased wastewater from their expanded operations. The challenge was that the natural slope of the land wasn’t sufficient to move the wastewater naturally, so a pumping system was required.

After consulting with Balfour Winery and obtaining the necessary approvals, we devised a solution. We provided a robust pumping system that included a backup pump for added reliability, housed in a durable chamber. This system was designed to effectively handle the wastewater demands of the expanded winery.

The installation process went smoothly, and the system was thoroughly tested to ensure it was working perfectly. To maintain its efficiency and reliability, the system is serviced every six months, allowing us to address any potential issues before they become problems.

With the new pumping system in place, Balfour Winery can now focus on increasing their production to meet their goal of one million bottles annually. The efficient wastewater management system ensures that this aspect of their operations runs seamlessly and is a testament to effective collaboration and practical problem-solving. By working together, we developed a solution that supports Balfour Winery’s growth and ensures smooth operations.
